Newquay on February 2nd staged a very popular 10K. Officially described as "There's a hill to overcome just after the 1 mile marker, after the water station at just over 3 miles, the next near to 3 miles offers some fast running as it's either downhill or on the flat, there's a bit of a climb just before the 6 mile marker right to the finish at the Sports Centre."

In reasonable conditions Chloe & Steve Weeks and Callum Price made the trip down. "There were 900 entries with what seemed like a great turn out of runners. The clubs of Cornwall showed up in strong teams as it was a race part of the Cornish Grand Prix. The race was amazing! It had a mixture of hills, mud, windy weather and it was all on road. Early start for us all with a 9am start." Callum was delighted with his new 10k PB

(97th) Steve Weeks: 41:22, 6th MV50, (99th) Chloe Weeks: 41:23, 7th FSen, (399th) Callum Price: 54:44 PB

The race was won in a speedy 31:59 by Newquay's Tom Morton from 814 finishers
