It was a quiet weekend for Teignbridge Trotters racing wise as the club celebrated their 40th anniversary at a special party at Newton Abbot Rugby Club. So, it fell to Tim Synge to ensure that the mileage was maintained and he did so by taking on the epic Race to the Stones 100k event on Saturday 9 July.
After a searing hot day, Tim completed the monumental distance in 16:05:28, placing 342nd in the event. There were hundreds who did not finish, but 745 who did cover the full course. Commenting on Sunday, Tim said: “I completed the Race to the Stones 100k event yesterday, on what was a very hot day as we followed the Ridgeway from Oxfordshire to Wiltshire and a finish near the Avebury stone circles. Today will be a day off!”
