New Men’s V70 Half Marathon record, plus a 7-mile road race

David Taylor ran the Edinburgh Half Marathon, on Sunday 29th May.  Following on from his recent Prague Marathon where he broke the V70 Club marathon record, David has continued his brilliant form and has now broken the club Half Marathon record at this event.

Having broken two club records in three weeks David said that, unlike in Prague, the conditions in Edinburgh were ideal for running as it was overcast and cool. David finished in a fantastic time of 1:46:35. Very well done, David!

On Monday 30th May, Kris Ward competed in the 70th Bampton to Tiverton 7 mile road race, organised by the Tiverton Harriers.

It was Kris’s fourth time doing the event, and he did enjoy the event on the back of training for longer distances recently. Kris mentioned that he was 48-seconds short of his course record, but still managed time of 46:49.
