Kat Leads Lone Assault on The Pirate

It was a quiet week on the Teignbridge Trotters race scene with no local races available or reported.

So it was left to lone Teignbridge Trottette Katrina Zaple to fly the royal blue flag. Kat ventured into Cornwall to take on the Bude Rats newly revamped 'Bude Pirate Run'. This is an 8.2 mile race that takes in the stunning north Cornwall coastal cliff paths.

The race is run mainly off road and in its former incarnation was slightly shorter in distance and was known as the Mouth 2 Mouth.

This race is a severe test of fitness and stamina as it is hard and hilly. The nature of the course coupled with the hot September conditions were not entirely to Kat’s liking as she completed the course in an unofficial time of 1.46 vowing to remove the event from her list of future ‘must-do’ races.
