Helen bags age prize at Bicton blister....

On a rather chilly Sunday 24th November, ten trotters ran the “Bicton Blister” ran by Exmouth Harriers. The Bicton Blister is a 10 mile multi-terrain race on Woodbury Common in East Devon, starting and finishing at Bicton College East Budleigh ,Budleigh Salterton, the start and finish are short road sections, with the remainder of the race being on sandy, stony and muddy paths across the Commons of East Devon, The Bicton Lite is the Bicton Blister's little Brother, 4.5 miles with the  same start and finish, just less distance on the Commons .Vicky Hales ran this race in 54.16 and was 57th out of 78 runners.

In the main race Allen Taylor brought the trotter’s home in a very strong and  respectable time of 1.17.36 and was 63rd out of 431 competitors. Next was Stephen Barker (67th)1.18.23 being chased by Helen"zippy" Anthony who once again picked up her age prize and completed the tough course in 1.18.24(68th) and was the only trotter lady to run it this year.Roger "smokes" Hales was (141st)over the finishing line in 1.26.21 followed by Phil"latte" Perry (155th) 1.27.54 , Jim Donovan(162nd)1.28.20,Rob Cooper (190th)1.30.30,Graydon Widdicombe (207th)1.31.51 and Steve Wallace (368th)1.52.20 completing the trotter line up.
