On Sunday 25th September 4 trotters took themselves up to The New forest to run the “New Forest Marathon”. The course is mainly on the road but there is a large section “off road” so it is classed as a multi-terrain event.
751 people completed the event in near perfect conditions.Roger Hayes(chair) had a strong run coming in 17th with a good time of 3:11:13 (17th).Next was Roger Hales(smokes) in 4.13.25 and so completing his 60th marathon. Sally Ingledew completed in 4.27.04 closely followed by Marsha Garrard in 4.29.40.

They are all doing it in November and it is an 84 mile race over 3 days.
On Sunday 25th September seven trotters made their way to Taunton to run the annual “Taunton 10km”. It was grey and drizzly at the start. The course was undulating, around the outskirts of Taunton centre and then around country lanes/roads around the neighbouring villages.
Starting and finishing at the Blackbrook Pavilion in Taunton it attracted 330 men and 260 women.
Seven trotters took part in the event and Daryl “Tarquin” Milford was the first trotter to appear in fine style as 7th man.His finishing time of 36.08 gave him his fastest 10km road race to date and shows what strong form he is in.Lance Mason chased him down to clean up the Vet 50 award with a brilliant time of 36.54 and coming in as 17th man. This was his fastest 10km since joining the trotters earlier this year.
