4 men and a couple of races …….
Not much racing has been around these last couple of weeks to entice the Trotters to do but “lone Trotter” Graham Penn (Inky) has found a couple to his liking. On Thursday 21st July saw him at the Kingsbridge 10km which is part of their Fair week attractions. It is a hilly route in a more or less circular course which was well marshalled and organised. Inky did 53.52 and was 45th out of 91 runners overall.
Last Saturday 30th July he turned up in Cornwall at the Tywardereath Trotter. Once again on his lonesome he ran the GPS measured course of 6.89 miles in 1.00.46 coming in 114th out of 212 competitors. The course is multi terrain with some very steep and drawn out hills but it has raised over £2000 for local charities. (Thanks for the details Inky)
Bruce Campbell, Noel Fowler and Dave Dunn ran the Exmoor Sea view 17 on Sunday 31st July. No official results out on the net yet, but Bruce did 3:21, Noel 3:31 and Dave did 3:48. Although advertised as 17 miles it came out as a good 20 with two monster hills. It's a point-to-point course that follows the coast path from Countisbury to Minehead.(Thanks Dave for the info)
