Brother & sister bag PB's at Sandygate

The final Sandygate Loop of the year produced no less than four PB's. The start was brought forward by half an hour due to the fading light, but this had little effect on the four Trotters who all improved their times.

Pick of the bunch has to be Simon Sherlock who having taken a wrong turn last month, managed to stay on track and smash his previous best by a staggering 5 minutes 44 seconds. Simon crossed the line in 31:15 the line. Not to be out done his sister, Marsha Garrard, also recorded a new PB with a time of 31:48. It would seem that those two have a good few battles ahead of them!

Having taken part in a number of Sandygate Loops over the years, Stuart Moulson was on fire last Friday. He stormed round the course in a time of 27:33 knocking over 30 seconds off his PB.

And finally to complete the impressive set of results, Alan Boone chipped away at his PB by recording a time of 26:51. This was the second month in a row that Booney has re-set his PB.

The next Sandygate Loop is not until next April. As with all the races it will take place on the last Friday of the month. May I take this opportunity to thank the 'three wise men', our time keepers, Dave Foster, Maurice Piper and Buzz Terrill, for all their time and effort throughout the year. The Sandygate Loop had a really successful year in terms of attracting members, with an impressive total of 46 Trotters taking part in one or more of the races. See you all next year.
