Bank holiday sun, fun and 10km run at Lustleigh Village Show

On Bank holiday Monday 30th August 2010, the Annual Lustleigh Village show, held at Kelly Farm, not only brought out the sun and crowds of people but 18 trotters to tackle the Annual 10km run.

120 runners took part and after a gruelling hill , the course followed an undulating path on and off roads. Runners also enjoyed some idyllic scenery before emerging back into the main Show to the finishing line amongst the waiting cheering crowds.

David Tomlin launched into the finish 7th place with a time of 38.20.Daryl"Tarquin"Milford,nearly knocking his head on the finishing scaffolding , ran in next in 38.57.The rest of the Trotters followed after them -Michael Hicks 40.57,Michael Eveleigh 43.07,John Crocker 44.19,Simon Boobyer 44.26,Alan Boone 45.51,Roger Hales 56.18,Stuart Moulson 46.41,James Henderson 47.08,Ben Epps 47.22,Craig Churchill 47.31,Emma Sidebotham 48.39,Dennis Milstead 53.20,Graham Penn racing in his home village 53.35,Sarah Schutte 53.43,Stella Imong 62.48 and Jim Donovan 66.51
