Victory to Trotters in Cricket Challenge

A fine batting performance from the Trotters was followed by a clinical bowling and fielding display as the Trotters comfortably won the Annual Cricket Challenge on Monday 28th July. Heavy rain arrived at the scheduled start time and a number of players and umpires headed for refreshments before the rain cleared allowing a shortened game of 14 overs per side.

Batting highlights included 27 not out from both captain Gary Caunter and Chairman Rog, supported by 17 not out from Ian Langler. Smoking Rog then followed this up with an unplayable spell of bowling, taking 3 wickets for 7 runs from his 2 overs.
