Royal Blues soak up the scenery at Killerton

Three Trotters soaked up the scenery at the Killerton Kanter on Saturday evening. The course follows around six miles of woodland tracks and trails on the Killerton National Trust estate. Steve Rawlinson was warming up for the following day's Ruby Run, finishing in 54.20. Steve Wallace clocked 56.58 and Amanda Milverton crossed the line in 1.05.13 to round off a beautiful sunny evening.

The following day, five Trotters took part in the Ruby Run Half-Marathon. This year, the run started from Holsworthy and finished at Hatherleigh. The hot and sunny conditions taxed the runners but the organisers provided plenty of water stations to keep them going. Mark Hamling led the Royal Blues home. He was supported by Paul Thomas, Graham Penn, Dennis Milstead and Steve Rawlinson. Confirmed times will be published when the officials results are released.

Graham Penn has been busy recently. Last Tuesday, June 3, he took part in the Cubert 5, organised by Newquay Road Runners. Graham completed the double circuit of Cubert village in 37.43. The following day, he was in action again, completing the Michelmores Charity Run 5K in Exeter in 23.49.
