Another busy week for the Teignbridge Trotters saw them tackling a local 10K and taking on the challenge of the track. First up was the initial race in the winter 3k track series held at Exeter Arena. The series held over 5 races attracted more than 100 athletes taking on what is for some a bit of an alien concept running around in circles! This did not deter Stewart Dunn who continued his recent good form with a very respective sub 11 time of 10:50. He was followed by Gary Caunter who after an excellent race with Mark Becker just held him off. Gary and Mark recording 11:08 & 11:10 respectively. Completing the line up were Gary Watson 11:35, John Caunter 12:13, Dave Dunn 13:12, Tina Caunter 13:43 & Jo Becker 13:55. Normality was resumed on Sunday with a return to the road racing scene when a large contingent of members tackled the Brixham 10K, and it has to be said on the whole that times were down on an unexpectedly warm morning, and a course that is not as easy as it may first appear. Results were as follows with little information being available at the time of going to press on PB's and Category winners. Dave Tomlin 39:28, Roger Hales 42:01, Ian Langler 42:55, Tim Theobald 44:09, Gary Caunter 45:51, Gary Watson 46:06, Stewart Dunn 46:35, James Henderson 47:49, Nigel Penwarden 48:36, Graham Penn 49:00, Mark Wotton 49:40, Dave Dunn 50:52, Pete Aston 51:29, Sharon Bowman 51:42, Tina Caunter 51:45, Jimmy 'welcome back' Donovan 51:59, Stephen Wallace 54:04 & Steve Rawlinson 55:56. A man who seems to be on his travels recently is Mark Hamling who last weekend was in Burnham-on-Sea recording a very respectable 1.36.51 in the Half Marathon.
