Official results are now available for the Lustleigh Show 10K, which was run on Bank Holiday Monday (25/8). Eight Trotters took part in the mixed terrain event. The going was pretty slippery, despite dry weather on the day.
Chris Cleave led the Trotters home in 41.34, securing 11th place overall out of 85 finishers. Graham Penn's 53.00 earned him a fine copper and brass milk churn for being the first Lustleigh resident to cross the line. Also running were: Roger Hayes (42.37), Roger Hales (46.54), Julia Proctor (53.40), Stella Imong (1.00.08), Paul Scholfield (1.01.37) and Angela Weeks (1.13.23).
Pictured left is Graham with his hard-earned milk churn. He swears that he is not wearing pink lipstick, asserting instead that the alarming Lolita-style effect is merely an optical illusion due to the reflection of the sun on the churn's coppery surface. A likely story...
