In a quiet weekend of racing action it was the Caunter Clan flying the royal blue Teignbridge Trotter flag as they made a trip to East Devon to take part in the Musbury Castle Challenge.
The 7.75 mile off-road event turned out to be a real 'challenge' with its numerous amount of testing hills, coupled with a fair degree of mud, rutted fields and footpaths.
Gary Caunter who has found a recent return to some sort of form on the road, certainly found that the off-road beast requires more training, but was first Trotter home in 27th place amongst 104 others in a time of 63.19. John Caunter continued to show solid form over his favourite terrain coming in just 10 places later in an excellent time of 66.55. Tina Caunter brought home the trio of Trotters with an excellent 5th position in the her Veteran category. Tina was 64th in a time of 75.39.
Not to be outdone was future Trotter, and son of Gary, Adam Caunter who was second in the 2.5 mile mini challenge in a time of 23.22 and also winning his U15 category.
Just for your information this is the initial report from your new club Press & Publicity officer, Gary Caunter.
