Teignbridge Trotters turned up un force to support Sunday's Torbay 10km race. As well as the large number of runners, many Trotters turned-up to spectate and encourage all 475 runners.
Roger Hayes was 22nd finisher and the first of 30 club members home, in a time of 37:42. In 38:51, Andy Penney was 3 seconds ahead of Mike Eveleigh. They were closely followed by Chris Cleave in 39:11. 62nd overall was Roger Hayes in a time of 40:35. The next Trotter in was triathlete Gary Caunter, in 40:54. The very competitive Trotters record for F50 was broken by Gia D'Aprano, who clocked a time of 47:32.
In 48:04, Bryan Hayes - just pipped fellow M65, Syd Willocks - 48:12. 3rd M65 Trotter was Graeme Baker in 49:15. Another notable run was by Kevin Besford who took 9 minutes off his personal best time and finished in 58:36.
Other Trotters racing were:- John Tweedie, in a time of 42:39, Simon Mayo - 42:44, Gary Watson - 42:49, Mark Hamling - 43:45, Stuart Dunn - 45:16, Nigel Penwarden - 45:37, John Caunter - 46:12. Richard Keatley finished in 47:07, Paul Thomas in 47:18. Richard Pidsley in 47:21 hot on his heels was Mark Wooton in 47:26. Pete Aston recorded a time of 47:46.
Graham Penn finished in 48:19, Matt Dunn in a time of 50:33, was not far ahead of Eleanor Taylor in 51:14, and she wasn't far ahead of Milos Erben in 51:21. Anna Caunter ran a good race and finished in a time of 52:02, just ahead of Tina Caunter - 52:19.
